Camping in Australia’s National Parks
Australia’s national parks protect some of the world’s most spectacular landscapes. Camping inside these parks puts you directly in the heart of wilderness areas that have been preserved for future generations.
How to Book National Park Camping
Each state has its own booking system. Queensland Parks, NSW National Parks, Parks Victoria, SA National Parks, DBCA in WA, and Parks Australia for Commonwealth parks all operate separate online booking systems. Book well in advance – popular sites sell out months ahead.
National Park Camping Fees
Fees vary significantly between states. Queensland charges from $6.50 per person per night. NSW ranges from $6 to $30+ per site. Victoria from $14 to $50+ per site. Most parks also charge a separate vehicle entry fee.
